Rentals Terms & Conditions

HOURS OF OPERATION 

Midwest Motorcycle of Daytona provides scooter and motorcycle rentals 5 days a week Monday - Saturday  between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm.  Closed Wednesdays & Sundays.  Event hours are 9:00am til 6:00pm 7 days a week. (Bike Week, Sturgis & Biketoberfest).  Making an appointment/reservation is not mandatory but is recommended.  We do not do Slingshot rentals.  Rental reservations are available to you 365 days a year via our website. Walk-Ins are also welcome!

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 21 and have a motorcycle endorsement on your license. Out of state and/or country licenses w/endorsements are also accepted. If you are interested in obtaining a motorcycle endorsement, visit Florida Riding Training Program, and search by county or call: (850) 488-3286 to get a list of rider training programs nearest you.  You must also have a major credit card.

RESERVATIONS  (PLEASE CONTACT DEALERSHIP FOR AVAILABLE RENTALS)

If you want to hold a specific model bike or if you are looking to rent during an event, then a reservation would be required. All reservations require a non-refundable deposit to confirm the reservation. This deposit will be applied to your balance at the time of pick up. Please give us a call at 1-386-257-6265 to make your reservation or you can go to our rental pages for the type of rental you prefer and follow the prompts to complete a reservation contract. This prompt will also allow you to perform your deposit confirmation safely and securely.  Rental deposits to reserve and secure reservations are non-refundable deposits.

Same day rentals are also available and reservations are not required.

We will make every attempt to provide you with the motorcycle or scooter of your choice. Although we reserve the right to substitute the motorcycle/scooter confirmed to you in the event of an unexpected or uncontrollable situation arises. This could include mechanical difficulties, damages to vehicles, non-returned motorcycles as scheduled, etc...

CANCELLATIONS

If you do need to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. Event deposits are non-refundable, however we will do our best to apply your  deposit towards a future date for local cancellations. Event deposits may or may not be applied to particular models reserved depending on availability. Late pick ups will be charged for that days rental unless called ahead of time (meaning prior to date of pick up).   No Call - No Show customers will not be provided with credit for a future rental and will relinquish their deposit or be charged for that full days rental.    WE ASK ALL RENTERS TO PLEASE CONTACT US WITH ANY CHANGES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

WEATHER

If poor weather conditions are occurring at the time of pick up, you have the option of rescheduling for another day and your deposit will be applied on that day or you can revise your time of pick up and drop off on the same dates.  Non-event time only.

INSURANCE

State Law requires renters to possess liability insurance which is charged at the time of pick up for each rental day by our insurance company. This liability insurance is required for each rental.  Customers are place on our Insurance Policy for

full coverage.  There is a $1,000 deductible on the insurance which the customer is responsible for in case of damage or misuse. All renters must understand that once a rental is taken into possession, all insurance is fully earned and there are no refunds for unused days on early returns.

AUTHORIZATION DEPOSIT HOLD

A damage authorization hold deposit in the amount of $1,000 on a major credit is required for Motorcycle rentals and $300 for a scooter on a major credit or debit card at the time of pick up. This is the amount of the deductible.   Midwest Motorcycle accepts all Major Credit Cards except American Express. Barring any damages or mishaps regarding the motorcycle, Midwest Motorcycle will release the hold upon inspection.   Midwest Motorcycle is not responsible for extended release times by your banking institution.  

INCLUDED IN RENTAL RATE

Use of vehicle for 24 hour period within a 2 hour radius of dealership

Helmets are not required, but are available at no extra cost.

FUEL

Fuel costs are the customer's responsibility.  You will begin your rental with a full tank of gas and are expected to return your rental with a 

full tank of gas.  $50.00 charge will be added if tank is not full upon return.

CUSTOMER CHECK-OUT

Every customer will receive a delivery check-out that will cover all aspects of the motorcycle operation, maintenance responsibility and any

questions you may have.

MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITY

The customer is responsible for checking engine oil levels at each refueling and reporting any mechanical failures immediately.   Customers

may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in motorcycle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance or

failure to report any issues with the motorcycle in their possession.

MOTORCYCLE SUBSTITUTION

Midwest Motorcycle reserves the right to substitute the motorcycle confirmed to rental customer.  Should Midwest not be able to

provide the confirmed motorcycle, a similar model will be provided to the customer.

RESTRICTIONS

Violation of listed restrictions voids all waivers and customer will be held liable for damages.

Road Restriction: Rental motorcycles are not permitted on beach, gravel/dirt roads, logging or non-public roads.

Motorcycles must remain within a 2 hour radius of dealership pick-up location.

DEPOSIT

A deposit is required on all event reservations of no less than $100.00 to secure the reservation with our rental department.  Reservations are

not final until deposit has been received and confirmed.  Balance of all rentals are due at the time of pick-up.  There are absolutely No cash refunds.  Any cancellations will be issued either a Rain Check or a Store Credit.  "No Show" on a reservation will forfeit deposits and will not be issued store credit/raincheck.

PICK-UP AND RETURN & LATE CHARGES

Pick up time of rental is accepted during business hours only, unless authorized.  Return times are based on 24 hour periods starting from the time of pick up.  Event pick up and drop off times will typically be 9am to 9am.  Vehicles may NOT be dropped off without check in from an authorized Midwest Motorcycle Representative.  Any vehicles dropped off and left with keys without authorization will incur a $45 surcharge and any damages incurred while unattended will be the responsibility of the renter.

No refunds for early returns will be granted.

Late Charge:  A $45 per hour late charge is assessed if the motorcycle is returned later than scheduled drop off time.

SALES TAX

Sales tax is applied to all rentals at the State of pick up current Sales Tax Rate.  Florida  6.5%, South Dakota  12%
